To add
report headers, in the Report Headers block click and then perform the following steps:
§ The Serial number will be automatically given by the system upon saving the report header entry;
§ Select the header Type:
- Header: This type allows you to add a normal header with static data type;
- Account: This type allows you to add a header with accounts data type. If you select this type, then you need to specify the Balance type of the account (DR, CR or Both) and attach the account;
- Formula: This type allows you to add a header with customised formulas data type. To specify a formula simply enter in the Formula in its designated field. If you want to include a certain header data within the formula, then you need to place a hash (#) preceding the header serial number. Otherwise, if you do not place a hash, then the entered number is considered as a constant number. Example: #2 + 5; the result of this example will be the sum of the value in the header with serial number 2 and the integer 5.
§ Enter the Name of the report header;
§ Specify the Level of indentation for this report header;
§ Specify the Order of the header to appear in report. For example, if you specify the order to be 2, then this header will be displayed as the second column in the report;
§ Check-in the Is Visible checkbox if you want this header to appear in the report. Otherwise, leave the checkbox empty and the header will be invisible once the report id generated. This option can be useful when a specific header depends on another in the calculation but you do not want the header to appear in the report once generated;
§ The Formula field is disabled for all types of headers except for the ‘Formula’ header type;
§ Click to save your work.
